I often work with the same client again and again. This is easier than looking for a new work after you finish one. I have a friend,he works a lot. But when he finishes work for a client then he stops talking with that client. The client is online in my IM but he doesn’t care. Not only my friend there are hundreds of other people who does same.
Here is my story. Someone gave me some lines to translate in Hindi. There was 5-6 lines and he paid me 5$ for that. My friend would just leave him after finishing that but I didn’t. I never do that. I talked with him more. I asked what he does. He said he is a domainer, I said him that I have some domains to sell, I showed my domain to him and he bought one. I talked even more, he asked about me. I said I also run a web designing firm, he asked for my portfolio, I showed him that and he liked. He immediately ordered a logo.
The work started in 5$ and ended after making 75$ in a day.
Specially, if you’re a freelancer and working with someone who is in offshore, there may be higher chance that the client may have some other jobs in hand. So I suggest you to talk little bit more with him after finishing the task. You can still get advantage if the client does not have anything in hand. You can actually make him create another job for you. For example, if you know SEO and now working on making new site for a client then you can talk with him about SEO. He might think about doing SEO after you talk with him, if he have not thought that earlier.
So, try to be friendly and talk more with the clients. It helps you to make more profit.
