Alexa ranking is the second thing (after google page rank) generally people look at to find out the popularity of the site. It works for the big sites but it does not for the smaller sites. Also this can show good result to the webmaster related sites and can show not good for a art site. Because Alexa ranking is determined by the number of visitors who uses Alexa toolbar and the alexa toolbar is only popular among the webmasters. It also shows the same results in the regional sites. There are some countries where very few people uses alexa toolbars but they also have large websites. So, I am not a big fan of Alexa ranking but it matters. If you stay online 10 hours then keep one window open for Autohits all the time. 600 minutes and 300 visitors to you site. And this will increase your alexa ranking obviously. Its not really very good for the established sites because 300 is not too much for them but if you’re just starting, if you want to make good with textlinkads fast then try this.
A low ranking on Alexa does not indicate that the traffic is not being generated on http://www.google.co.in, http://www.search.yahoo.com and http://www.search.msn.com search engines.
